There is a variation of the LinkSys WRT54G wireless router, that was manufactured for T-Mobile, to allow VOIP/SIP home phone service, equivalent to Vonage, and the router produced was the WRT54G-TM.

The difference in the circuitry in this router, is it has a pop-out/snap-out door, under the panel with the model number where there are 2 sockets for GSM card, which will enable the VOIP/SIP phone lines, and on the back of the router are the 2 additonal RJ-12 phone jacks.

This router then of course has some firmware changes to support the added circuitry and that is why this model has not been added to the supported list, since no one programming for the DD-WRT, has figured out how to add the support code for the added circuitry back into the DD-WRT, or attempted a unique DD-WRT version/fork that directly supports this LinkSys model.

Now that I have posted this, I assume one of the gurus will figure it out.

I own one of these boxes, having gotten it, almost for nothing, in a market dump, after T-Mobile abandoned this project, and use it in the traditional manner, ignoring the phone ckts.

I do not think there are GSM cards available any more to enable the phone ckts anyway.
