WinSCP is an open source free SFTP client and FTP client for Windows. Legacy SCP protocol is also supported. Its main function is safe copying of files between a local and a remote computer.

WinSCP can be used to access the file system of a device running dd-wrt.

How To Access the DD-WRT Filesystem with WinSCP

  1. First you must enable ssh access on the services tab in dd-wrt.
  2. Download WinSCP
  3. Open WinSCP and put the IP of your router in the host name box. (192.168.1.1) The default port is 22.
  4. Put in your DD-WRT Username and Password. (root and admin by default)
  5. Select SCP as File Protocol. SFTP will not work.
  6. Click Login
