I was following instructions to the T and didn't touch this at first, and so I could see both routers (AP and CB) on both computers, but CB computer had no internet.

Three statements which one is true?

1 New Wiki Material-Client Bridge
First of all, do not even try to do client bridge with dd-wrt SP1. It won't work.

2 Former Wiki Material
Client Bridge is said to be working with the old V23 SP2 build...but not the newest V24 builds.

3 V24 builds
Confirmed working on V24-Final V24-SP1 V24 Pre-SP2
