[edit] Introduction

This is a stub for a future TCP Congestion Control article.

To find the available congestion control algorithm modules (although the kernel may have more built-in, see below):

ls -la /sys/module/tcp_*

e.g. tcp_vegas, tcp_hybla

To find the allowed congestion control algorithms:

cat /proc/sys/net/ipv4/tcp_allowed_congestion_control

e.g. vegas westwood reno

To find the available congestion control algorithms:

cat /proc/sys/net/ipv4/tcp_available_congestion_control

e.g. vegas westwood reno hybla (these also appear in the web interface)
