SSID (Service Set Identification)

The SSID, or service set identification, your router broadcasts is the wireless signal carrying the name of your network and allows other people to connect wirelessly to your network with ease. This mode on all DD-WRT routers can be broadcasted or not.

On the current implementation of DD-WRT, special characters that seem to work with windows are not supported and refuse to be configured leading to a failed connection. For instance: Unsupported Characters in SSID "¡Bienvenidos! AMPM"
