How To Flash
NOTE: During configuration or flashing a device, the only that should be hooked to the device is the computer and power.
Just basically followed the instructions for v1.0. some slight differences: did not use IE. I used Firefox on linux (x86 ubuntu) without a hitch, and followed these steps:
- Restore factory defaults with the original Linksys firmware.
- Upgrade to Linksys latest firmware for my router (as stated above, read fine print to get right firmware)
- Then upgrade to dd-wrt.v24-12548_VINT_mini.bin I also got to the Continue page, but never got the DD-WRT GUI.
- Hold the reset button for 30 seconds (not power cycle)
- got to dd-wrt nice and easy.
- Upgraded to dd-wrt.v23_wrt54g.bin. note that i used the wrt54g-specific binary.
- And everything worked after this.
