This page has had numerous edits since hardware modifications are no longer necessary to flash you v5 or v6 router. I think some Wiki editors incorrectly assumed that no one would ever need or want to flash their "neutered router" with a JTAG cable. I'm trying to find valid information on flashing your neutered router with a JTAG, but for now, here's some links to other valid information.
