-== Recommended DD-WRT builds ==+Depreciated,
- +* See [https://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Netgear_R7000 Netgear R7000].
-The recommended builds for the R7000 are <Kong>'s development builds, available from [http://desipro.de/ddwrt/K3-AC-Arm/ <Kong>'s website], rather than the builds available on the main DD-WRT download page. In short, this is because the mainline builds are generic and cover dozens of architectures, whilst <Kong> is developing, testing and optimising for the R7000 in particular. Read the Changelog at the above link, it is informative. +

-See the [http://desipro.de/ddwrt/K3-AC-Arm/Readme Readme] file, but in short, if you're starting from the Netgear firmware, download and flash the appropriate .chk file from the Initial directory using the Netgear web interface. Once it is installed, if there is a newer release than your .chk file then download the appropriate .bin file, visit your newly installed DD-WRT router, head on over to its Firmware Update section and flash the .bin file, preferably with a reset to defaults. After that, you're on newest firmware and good to go.+
