Client Bridged Mode

(requires version 2.3 or greater for GUI setup)

I started a page here to make it easy to find this info. So far, as related to version 2.3 and gui setup of this mode only, (no tweaking by telnetting in and running nvram commands), I could only find info in the following links.

My attempt: Bridge Install

Related attempts: Wireless Bridge

External forum thread: Wireless Bridge thread

Using DD-WRT v23 (11/01/05) I succeeded with Client bridge mode with WPA changing only the following from the defaults:

Setup > Basic Setup

DHCP Server: Disable

Wireless > Basic Settings

Wireless Mode: Client Bridged
Wireless Network Mode: Mixed

Wireless > Wireless Security

Security Mode: WPA Pre-Shared Key
WPA Algorithms: TKIP
WPA Shared Key: <equal to the other side>

Status > Wireless

The other side is a standard Hyper-WRT 2.0. When connected, both the DD-WRT router and all connected computers appear in the DHCP Active IP Table.
