On this new Buffalo WHR-HP-G300N, running DD-WRT v24-sp2 (04/09/10) std, the "nvram get wl0_corerev" test doesn't work: the variable is unset, when I grep the whole list I get:

wl0_corerev=

Also, the wireless interfaces for the two SSIDs I have, are marked ath0 and ath0.1, and a MAC is listed for ath0.

The corerev test is for Broadcom based hardware which is why it's in a section named so. Your model is Atheros based so you should ignore that section. I'll consider how to properly convey the correct interface names for all hardware.

WARNING TO ANY EDITORS

I keep a close eye on this guide and have structured it the way it is for many reasons. If you attempt to add 'simpler' instructions that involve unbridging interfaces directly then it will be reverted because it just complicates the guide and prevents the user from being prepared to add other interfaces (VLAN's, VPN tunnels, etc.) to the bridge with the VAP. If you're going to make any major changes to the guide I would recommend PM'ing me on the forum and discussing it before you dedicate any time to it.
